A Word from the Ameer of Hizb ut Tahrir, the Noble Scholar Ata bin Khalil Abu Al-Rashtah, May Allah Protect Him, on the Occasion of the 105th Anniversary of the Destruction of the Caliphate State

This address commemorates the 105th anniversary of the abolition of the Caliphate, marking 105 years of Muslim disunity and subjugation. It calls upon the Muslim armies to rise up, inspired by the legacy of their great historical leaders, to re-establish the Caliphate. The text emphasizes that this is the ultimate hope for the Ummah's honor and strength, promising a return to glory and the liberation of Muslim lands.

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

All praise is due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah, his family, his companions, and whoever follows him.

To the Islamic Ummah, the Ummah of Jihaad, Justice, and Excellence, by Allah's will. The best Ummah brought forth for mankind, honored by Allah with victory and empowerment.

To the carriers of the Da'wah for the resumption of Islamic life through the establishment of the rightly guided Caliphate. We consider them, by Allah's will, to be the pious, pure, and noble ones.

  • In these very days, 105 years ago, in late Rajab 1342 AH, corresponding to early March 1924 CE, the disbelieving colonizers, led by Britain at the time, in cooperation with Arab and Turkish traitors, succeeded in destroying the Khilafah State. The criminal of the age, Mustafa Kemal, openly declared disbelief by abolishing the Khilafah, besieging the Caliph in Istanbul, and expelling him at dawn that day. Thus, a terrible earthquake struck the Muslim lands with the destruction of the Khilafah, the source of their glory and the pleasure of their Lord. The obligation was upon the Ummah to fight him with the sword, as stated in the hadith of the Messenger ﷺ, agreed upon by Al-Bukhari and Muslim, from Ubada ibn Al-Samit, may Allah be pleased with him: "And that we do not dispute the matter with its people, unless you see manifest disbelief concerning which you have a clear proof from Allah." However, the Ummah fell short in this, not acting to repel that criminal and his assistants. Instead, the earthquake of losing the Khilafah continued. Subsequently, the influence of the disbelieving colonizers spread over the Muslim lands, dividing them into approximately 55 fragments!

  • Then, the ignoble rulers among the Muslim lands added another earthquake to this one. They did not prevent the Jews from occupying the blessed land, the site of the Prophet's night journey and ascension. Then, they degraded themselves further, hastening towards normalization with the Jewish entity even without any withdrawal from it! Some of them committed the crime of normalization behind the scenes, while others committed it openly, day and night! Thus, they all rush into crime without caring for the humiliation that engulfs them from their heads to their feet: ﴿سَيُصِيبُ الَّذِينَ أَجْرَمُوا صَغَارٌ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ وَعَذَابٌ شَدِيدٌ بِمَا كَانُوا يَمْكُرُونَ﴾.

  • Thus, O Muslims, after the Khilafah has been removed from your foreheads, and you are ruled by the ignoble rulers who today obey the command of the tyrant Trump, even in Gaza of Hashem and all the blessed land. Trump chaired a meeting in September 2025 that included Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Egypt, Jordan, Turkey, Indonesia, and Pakistan, on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly meetings, describing it as the most important meeting. Then he presented, or imposed, a 20-point plan on them, and the clauses of his plan spoke of the loss of Gaza, its trusteeship, and its colonization to be a garden for Trump and the Jewish entity to enjoy! After that, Al-Sisi held a celebration for Trump and his ominous plan in the land of Kemet. This was a prelude to Security Council Resolution 2803, which imposes a trusteeship or colonization council to manage Gaza of Hashem, which it calls a "Peace Council"! Then Trump declares that he will announce the members of the council, headed by him, in Gaza at the beginning of this year 2026. Al Jazeera also reported from him (that it is likely that Trump will appoint an American general to lead the stability force in the sector. Al Jazeera, 11/12/2025). This means Trump controls the governing council and the security force in Gaza! Then his envoy meets with the "mediation" countries – Turkey, Egypt, and Qatar – in Miami on 19/12/2025 to push the second phase in discussing how to deploy the stability forces and disarm Hamas, as well as discuss practical steps to implement this! Then Trump meets with Netanyahu in Florida and says: ["The meeting was very productive" and added to reporters: "The discussions addressed the issue of disarming Hamas, emphasizing that they will be given a short period to do so, warning that there will be severe consequences for non-compliance." BBC, 30/12/2025] Trump says this while he is supplying the Jewish entity with all weapons, heavy and super-heavy, in a brutal war on Gaza that affects people, trees, and stones! Trump says this, and the rulers of the Muslim lands, who have stabbed the blessed land by remaining silent about its liberation, even applauding Trump's twenty points, are watching and letting it happen!

  • Furthermore, it is not only Palestine that these rulers have stabbed, but they have also stabbed the lands they ruled for the benefit of the disbelieving colonizers and at their instigation, especially America. South Sudan was separated from the North, and Darfur is on the same path. Libya is in conflict and divided into two states. Yemen, North and South, with the South splitting within itself! The new Syria throws itself into the arms of America, releasing the thugs of the former tyrant's regime and his cronies, while keeping the youth of Hizb ut Tahrir, who call for the Khilafah, in prison and sentencing them to up to ten years! Then the ignoble rulers did not stop at that; they surrendered or handed over other parts of the land of Islam. Kashmir was annexed by the Hindu polytheists. Russia annexed Chechnya and other Muslim lands in Central Asia. East Timor was detached from Indonesia. Cyprus, the Muslim stronghold for many years, is now largely controlled by Greece. The Rohingya Muslims are being slaughtered in Myanmar, and if they seek refuge in Bangladesh, the regime oppresses them and does not support them by fighting their enemy! Then there is Eastern Turkestan, which China brutally attacks, and the monsters distance themselves from it. The existing states in Muslim lands are silent as the grave. If they speak, they call China's brutality against Muslims an internal issue! ﴿كَبُرَتْ كَلِمَةً تَخْرُجُ مِنْ أَفْوَاهِهِمْ إِنْ يَقُولُونَ إِلَّا كَذِباً﴾.

  • O soldiers in the armies of the Muslims: Are you not capable of following the Muslim soldiers who preceded you, by establishing the obligation of Allah, the Almighty, the Wise, through liberating Palestine and Gaza of Hashem by Jihaad in the path of Allah, the pinnacle of Islam? And then reclaiming every inch of Muslim land that has been separated from its origin or occupied by the disbelieving colonizers in the East and West, pursuing them to their own homes? Are you not capable? Yes, by Allah's will, you are capable.

  • You are the sons of the Ummah of Islam, the Ummah of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, the Ummah of the Muhajireen and Ansar, the Ummah of the Rightly Guided Caliphs and the Caliphs after them. You are the descendants of Al-Rashid, who responded to the Roman king for breaking his covenant with the Muslims and for oppressing them (The answer is what you see, not what you hear), and so it was. You are the descendants of Al-Mu'tasim, who led a mighty army to the aid of a woman wronged by a Roman, who cried out, "O Mu'tasim!" Then you are the descendants of Saladin Al-Ayyubi, the conqueror of the Crusaders and the liberator of Al-Aqsa from their defilement on the 27th of Rajab 583 AH, corresponding to October 2, 1187 CE.

  • You are the descendants of Muhammad Al-Fatih, the young prince whom Allah honored with the praise of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for the conqueror of Constantinople: "What a blessed leader is its leader, and what a blessed army is that army." So Constantinople was conquered by his hands, may Allah have mercy on him and bestow His favor upon him, in 857 AH - 1453 CE. You are the descendants of Caliph Selim III, during whose reign the United States of America paid an annual tribute to its governor in Algiers amounting to 642,000 gold dollars, in addition to 12,000 gold Ottoman liras, in exchange for the release of its captives in Algiers and permission to pass through the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea without being attacked by the Ottoman Navy. For the first time, America was forced to sign a treaty not in its own language but in the language of the Ottoman State on 21 Safar 1210 AH - September 5, 1795 CE.

  • You are the descendants of Caliph Abdul Hamid, who summoned the French ambassador in Istanbul and deliberately met him in military attire, then threatened him by stopping the performance of the play that slandered the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, saying: "I am the Caliph of the Muslims. I will turn the world upside down on your heads if you do not stop that play." France complied and banned its performance in 1307 AH - 1890 CE. You are the descendants of this Caliph, whom the millions of gold offered by the Jews to the state treasury did not tempt, nor did the international pressures they marshaled against him to allow them to settle in Palestine intimidate him. He said his famous saying: "To have a scalpel cut me up is easier for me than to see Palestine separated from the Khilafah State." He was far-sighted, adding: "..Let the Jews keep their millions... And if the Khilafah State is ever torn apart, they can then take Palestine for free." And this is what happened!

  • O Muslims, O armies in the Muslim lands: If the Khilafah returns, you will return as honored as your ancestors were. Their deeds speak of their honor and of a greater pleasure from Allah. They established the Khilafah and preserved it, so they were honored, they ruled, and they attained the pleasure of their Lord. You are their descendants, so come to the truth they followed, and follow it. Come to the honor they created, and create it. Re-establish the Khilafah and preserve it. Hizb ut Tahrir is among you, so support it. It works day and night to resume the Islamic way of life by establishing the rightly guided Khilafah State, leading the Ummah in this great work, and disturbing the sleep of the disbelieving colonizers with its call for the Khilafah. How much more so if the Khilafah is established, it will abolish the borders and barriers drawn by the disbelieving colonizers from the Pacific Ocean where Indonesia and Malaysia are, to the shores of the Atlantic where Morocco and Andalusia are! Then Muslims will return to being one Ummah with one state, the rightly guided Khilafah, which honors Islam and Muslims, and humiliates disbelief and disbelievers. It will return the land of Islam and Muslims from the hands of the disbelieving colonizers and pursue them to the depths of their countries, and illuminate the world anew. And truth will be manifested and falsehood vanquished on that day: ﴿وَقُلْ جَاءَ الْحَقُّ وَزَهَقَ الْبَاطِلُ إِنَّ الْبَاطِلَ كَانَ زَهُوقاً﴾.

  • It may be said, "Can the Khilafah do all this? Can it bring victory and repel defeat? And liberate the Muslim lands from the disbelieving colonizers, and even pursue them to their own homes?" And we say, yes. Our Lord, the Exalted, says: ﴿إِنْ تَنْصُرُوا اللَّهَ يَنْصُرْكُمْ وَيُثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَكُمْ﴾. And the victory of Allah, the Truth, can only be achieved by establishing the state of Islam that implements His laws. If it is established, Allah, the Exalted, will grant it victory, it will be firmly established and honored, its friends will respect it, and its enemies will fear it. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ says: «الْإِمَامُ جُنَّةٌ يُقَاتَلُ مِنْ وَرَائِهِ وَيُتَّقَى بِهِ». The Caliph and the Khilafah are a shield, meaning protection. And whoever has protection will, by Allah's will, be victorious in the end. His lands will not be lost, and his enemies will not approach him. The history of the Khilafah testifies to this. Where is Byzantium and its scepter? Where are Ctesiphon and the Chosroes? Who then raised the call of Takbir in those vast lands from ocean to ocean except the state of Islam, the soldiers of Islam, and the justice of Islam? If the Khilafah had known of lands beyond the oceans to the East and West at that time, it would have plunged into their depths to call to Allah, the Almighty, the Wise.

  • It may also be said that Hizb ut Tahrir has no commodity but the Khilafah. Wherever it goes, it speaks only of the Khilafah; it knows nothing else and is familiar with nothing else. And we say, yes, the Khilafah is the commodity and the craft, it is honor and strength, it is the protector of religion and the world, it is the origin and the end. Through it, laws are implemented, borders are set, conquests are made, and heads are raised with truth. It is what the Muslims prioritized before preparing the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and burying him, may Allah's prayers and peace be upon him, despite the importance and greatness of that. All of this is due to the greatness and importance of the Khilafah, as the senior companions saw that engaging in it was more fitting than that great obligation: preparing and burying the Messenger, may Allah's prayers and peace be upon him.

O Muslims, O armies in the Muslim lands: The establishment of the Khilafah is the decisive issue for Muslims. And we are confident in Allah's victory, in the honor of Islam and Muslims, and in the return of the mujahid rightly guided Khilafah, the annihilation of the occupying Jewish entity in Palestine, and the conquest of Rome as Constantinople became Dar al-Islam, "Istanbul." We are confident of this, even if the disbelievers and hypocrites say: ﴿إِذْ يَقُولُ الْمُنَافِقُونَ وَالَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ مَرَضٌ غَرَّ هَؤُلَاءِ دِينُهُمْ﴾. All of this is from the victory for Muslims, which is in the promise of Allah, the Exalted: ﴿وَعَدَ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مِنْكُمْ وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ لَيَسْتَخْلِفَنَّهُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ﴾ and the good tidings of His Messenger ﷺ after this oppressive monarchy in which we live: «ثُمَّ تَكُونُ مُلْكاً جَبْرِيَّةً فَتَكُونُ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ أَنْ تَكُونَ ثُمَّ يَرْفَعُهَا إِذَا شَاءَ أَنْ يَرْفَعَهَا ثُمَّ تَكُونُ خِلَافَةً عَلَى مِنْهَاجِ النُّبُوَّةِ ثُمَّ سَكَت» (Musnad Ahmad). The Khilafah is inevitably returning, by Allah's will. However, it requires serious and diligent work for its establishment, for the Sunnah of Allah, the Almighty, the Wise, dictates that angels will not descend from the sky to establish a Khilafah for us and fulfill Allah's promise and His Messenger's good tidings while we sit idly. Rather, angels will descend to assist us while we work with diligence, earnestness, sincerity, and devotion. Then Allah will grant us victory and success in both worlds, and that is the great success. Hizb ut Tahrir works diligently for it and is optimistic about its imminent establishment. So, hasten, O Muslims, hasten, O people of power. Join the Da'wah and the support, and hasten to establish the Khilafah with the Party, not just to witness it from them. For victory is near, by Allah's permission: ﴿إِنَّ اللَّهَ بَالِغُ أَمْرِهِ قَدْ جَعَلَ اللَّهُ لِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدْراً﴾, ﴿وَيَوْمَئِذٍ يَفْرَحُ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ * بِنَصْرِ اللَّهِ يَنْصُرُ مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ﴾. And our last supplication is, all praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.
